Our Story
Creatorcredit.org arose from necessity.
It all started with a lack of communication between Publishers using licensed work and the creators of the work.
We noticed that a lot of artists we’re not getting the credit that they deserved when putting their art online. We noticed that too many people were not getting the credit that they deserved for their creations.
One big reason that artists are not getting the credit that they deserve is that publishers do not correctly know how to pay attribution. There is a lot of misinformation about how to properly pay attribution.
Our work here at creatorcredit.org is two-fold.
For Creators
We fight for the artist to get the credit that they deserve. Some of the strategies that we employ are: Getting in contact with people that have not paid attribution correctly. We act as the mediators between Publishers and artists so that things do not escalate to a lawsuit as it often does.
For Publishers
It is our goal to teach people around the world the appropriate ways to pay attribution. Not only do we teach these people the proper ways to pay attribution and the importance of doing so, but we also help them find more work that they can share freely.
Licenses were meant for the world to be more artistic. It was meant for artwork to be shared and talked about. But it needs to be done so in the right way.
And that’s why we are here.
Feel free to reach out to us with any questions here.
